Taking an extra few seconds can mean all the difference when it comes to sharing the road with motorcyclists.
Lead motorcycle instructor for NWTC in Green Bay, Dave Jossart, says intersections can be the most dangerous places for motorcyclists, especially when the roads are busy.
Motorcyclists can protect themselves by wearing the appropriate gear such as a helmet, jacket and gloves. Jossart emphasizes the need for motorcycle and scooter operators to be conspicuous by wearing brightly colored clothing and positioning themselves in their lane so that other motorists can see them.
May is National Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month and Jossart asks that all motorists, whether on two wheels, four or 18 take responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others.
