In his weekly address, Walker touts the first stop of his administration's "Cabinet on the Road" tour.
"These sessions are also an excellent opportunity for Cabinet members and me to ask questions about the impact state government has on the private sector," Walker says. "We must continue to do all that we can to lower the cost of doing business in our state so job creators can grow and hire more workers."
Walker also touts recent rankings in Chief Executive magazine as "the third consecutive year Wisconsin improved its position among the states best for business."

Assembly Minority Leader Peter Barca, in this week's Dem radio address, calls for halting the budget process for the WEDC until problems identified in a recent audit are addressed. The Kenosha Dem says the audit showed WEDC "authorized illegal loans or tax credits, lost track of loans and spent taxpayer money on such improper items as alcohol and iTunes gift cards."
"We were concerned this would happen when Gov. Walker and legislative Republicans -- over Democratic objections -- approved the creation of WEDC without so much as a business plan," Barca says. "Ever since, they have dismissed common-sense ideas to make WEDC more transparent and accountable to the taxpayers."
