The Southern Door FFA chapter held its annual banquet and dinner on May 8. During the banquet members received awards from different projects and activities they are involved with.
FFA advisor Jeanna James says she enjoyed many things about this year’s banquet.
During the dinner some FFA members auctioned cutting boards they made in order to raise funds for the chapter. The highest selling board was made by Morgan Geary for $105. Morgan says she wasn’t expecting her board to sell for that much.
Chapter vice president Ashley Wery says she thinks the banquet went well.
"We could have used a little better member turnout," says Wery. "However we did raise a lot of money with our auction."
The chapter held its spring clean-up project Thursday and FFA members will be hosting Animal Day on May 22.
