The Door County Silent Sports Alliance closed out National Bike to Work Week by unveiling a promotional jersey Friday night.
DCSSA board member Paul Anschutz says the jersey was developed over the winter months with the help of various sponsors and is available to purchase through the organization.
What they’re doing is trying to make Door County a more bike-friendly place. They began by helping the city of Sturgeon Bay earn Bronze status recently on the League of American Bicyclists list of bicycle friendly communities.
Over the course of National Bike to Work Week, DCSSA held various events including a bike rodeo to teach children bike safety, Bike to School Day and a group ride Friday before unveiling the jersey at a dinner. Anschutz was amazed at the success of Wednesday’s Bike to School event.
