Sister Bay residents will soon be paying more for sewer service.
The Sister Bay Village Board approved the rate increase Tuesday following a public hearing.
Village officials say the rate hike means the average residential customer using 10,000 gallons of water per quarter will see a quarterly bill about 2.4% higher. That translates to an increase of approximately $3.90 per quarter or $15.60 per year.
The new rates go into effect July 1.
Sister Bay's last sewer rate increase was approved in November 2011.
A copy of the complete sewer rate study is on file at the Village Administrator's office and may be viewed at 2383 Maple Dr. weekdays between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM. The water and sewer rates are also available for viewing on the Village of Sister Bay website.
