Visitors to Sturgeon Bay may wonder what kinds of crime they’ll find in the city. A new report from the Sturgeon Bay Police Department offers some answers.
Captain Dan Brinkman says the type of crimes the department investigates is just one aspect of the report, which is the first annual report the SBPD has compiled in years.
According to the report, the SBPD investigated a total of 831 incidents and made more than 2,400 arrests. The summary also includes details on the number of police service calls, traffic accidents investigated, mileage and fuel consumption as well as training completed.
Brinkman points out that of the 218 vehicular accidents that occurred in 2012, none involved a fatality.
Brinkman, who compiles monthly reports, worked closely with an intern from Lakeland College to complete the annual report, which you can read here.
