Lightning is being blamed for leaving a lot of west-siders in the dark Friday morning in Sturgeon Bay.
Sturgeon Bay Utilities Operations Manager Cliff White says the outages were caused by lightning strikes on poles and transformers and most of the outages were concentrated on the city's west side.
White says the outages started around 9:30 a.m. and most everyone was back online by early afternoon.
White didn't have a specific number in terms of customers affected but says calls came in steady to SBU for about an hour.
And from what he heard, White says Mother Nature put on quite the light show.
"I was in the office so I didn't get to see any of it but folks that were out there said it was a pretty impressive display of lightning."
