Name Released In Kewaunee Harbor Accident

Kewaunee authorities have released the name of the man who was killed when his van plunged into the Kewaunee Harbor.

The body of 40-year-old Shane P. Dillenburg of Green Bay was recovered from the harbor Sunday night.

Police say at approximately 8:30 a.m. Sunday a 2004 Chrysler Sprinter van driven by Dillenburg veered off the road at the 200 block of Hathaway Drive in Kewaunee, striking a tree and then a boat before going into the water.

Dillenburg's 5-year-old son was with him. Dominic Dillenburg was pulled from the water by two Minnesota residents who were camping nearby. He was taken to a Green Bay hospital and later released.

An autopsy on Shane Dillenburg is scheduled to be performed Tuesday. Authorities say the reason for the vehicle veering off the road is still being investigated.
