"Monk" Star Draws Many To Olde Ellison Bay Days (video)

Visitors and residents alike lined Highway 42 in Ellison Bay Saturday morning for the Olde Ellison Bay Days Parade led by Tony Shalhoub and his nephew Michael Matzdorf.

Shalhoub, a Green Bay native, is well-known in Door County for his role in the movie Feed the Fish and as the star of the television series Monk. Matzdorf wrote and directed Feed the Fish.

The pair signed autographs during the parade line up and one little girl could barely contain her excitement. Eight-year-old Taylor Geyer of Green Bay (pictured above with Shalhoub) stood in line dressed as Sheriff Andersen from Feed the Fish, complete with the mustache.

...was all she could muster after Shalhoub signed her copy of the DVD and gave her a hug.

After the parade the crowds moved to Community Park for an afternoon of food, music and family fun.

Miss the parade?
