You might notice a few changes at the Door County Fair this year, set for July 31-August 4.
The ad-hoc Door County Fair study committee has compiled a list of improvements that they’d like to see made in the coming years. Rob Burke of the Door County UW-Extension acts as a liaison between the committee and the Extension and says one major change has already been made for this year.
Burke says other changes on the list include adding more Door County products to food stand menus and sprucing up the display hall.
Paving the midway and improving the admission pricing system are items the fair board will discuss for the 2014 fair. According to Burke, 2014 fair has been pushed back a few weeks to August 6-10 to avoid interfering with the Wisconsin State Fair.
