Floyd Milton Jeanquart, 80, of Sturgeon Bay passed away at Azura Memory Care in Green Bay on May 5, 2013, with family at his side. He was born September 18, 1932, in Sturgeon Bay to Louie and Magdalen (Renard) Jeanquart. On September 19, 1953, he married Nancy Feifarek at St. Joseph Church in Sturgeon Bay.
Floyd started working in the meat cutting business at the Buy-low Store in Sturgeon Bay when he was 15 years old. He went on to become the manager of the meat department at the Piggly Wiggly for many years. He enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting and he excelled at sheepshead and cribbage. Floyd was a member of the Knights of Columbus, a 4th Degree Knight, and a past member of the Elks Club and the Sturgeon Bay Jaycees.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy; six children, Jennifer (Charles) McCrea, Plains, MT; Jeffrey (Dawn) Jeanquart, James (Rebecca) Jeanquart, Jay (Mary) Jeanquart, Julaine (Eric Heil) Jeanquart, Joel (Nanine) Jeanquart, all of Sturgeon Bay; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dale (Joan) Jeanquart, Rick (Nancy) Jeanquart and a sister, Cheryl Brabazon, all of Sturgeon Bay. He was preceded in death by two sons, Jerald and Jonathan; two grandchildren, Holly and Jason; two sisters, Joyce Allen and Delores Pollack; a brother, Elton Jeanquart, and God-son, Todd Jeanquart.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Rev. Robert Konkol, O.F.M. officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay and then after 10:00 a.m. Friday at the church until time of services.
