Mary Kiehnau

Mary A. Kiehnau, 77 years, of Sturgeon Bay, died early Monday morning (May 6, 2013) at Anna’s Health Care in Sturgeon Bay surrounded by her family.

She was born December 24, 1935 in Sturgeon Bay, the daughter of the late Frank and Marie (Neuville) Kohlbeck. Mary attended Corpus Christi School and graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in 1953. On October 10, 1959 she married Gerald D. Kiehnau at Corpus Christi Catholic Church.

Mary enjoyed knitting, reading, bird watching, playing cards, spending time with the grandchildren and family, along with baking. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sturgeon Bay.

Survivors include her three children, Randy (Mary) Kiehnau, (and their children, Jeremy (friend, Morgan), Kevin (Deidre) Kiehnau, Kim (Steve) Conjurske (and their children, Jonathan and Sarah), Terry (Debbie) Kiehnau; three great-grandchildren, Haley, Jocelyn, Bentley; two sisters, Ruth (Dale) Buschmann, Joanne Teich,; two brothers, John (Lenore) Kohlbeck, Joe Kohlbeck; sister-in-law, Jackie Kohlbeck; in-laws, Judy (Jerry) Cote, Paul (Leann) Kiehnau, Ellen Kiehnau.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Rubert; sister, Carol (Herman) Splingaire; brothers-in-law, Loney Teich, and Allen Kiehnau.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 3:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon (May 10, 2013) at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Robert Konkol OFM officiating. Entombment will be at Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum at Bay Settlement in Green Bay.

Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at Huehns Funeral Home and at the church on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services at 3:00 p.m.

Memorials may be given in her memory to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Unity Hospice, or DOOR CANcer INC.
