Helen Marie Buechner

Helen Marie Buechner, 62, of Forestville, passed away at home on December 20, 2013. She was born May 12, 1951, in Sturgeon Bay to Herbert and Helen (Busse) Kasten. Helen received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. On October 30, 1976 she married Allen G. Buechner at the United Methodist Church in Sturgeon Bay.

Helen worked at Country Ovens in Forestville for the past 21 years. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. Her pride and joy was her grandson, Cole. She was also a member of the Forestville American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband, Allen; three children, Todd Buechner, Troy Buechner and Tracy Buechner, all of Forestville; a grandson, Cole Buechner; three brothers, Don (Jean) Kasten and Robert Kasten, Sturgeon Bay; Allen Kasten, Forestville; two sisters, Judy (Ron ) Ostrenga, Abrams; Jean (Mike) Riederer, Brussels; many in-laws, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 24, 2013, at St. Peters Lutheran Church, Forestville, Rev. Carl Brewer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the Forbes Funeral Home and then after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church until time of services. Devotions will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
