Chet and Elly loved each other passionately for all of their sixty years, they were the best of friends that rarely were apart. Together, they built their home and raised four daughters, worked like crazy, but always made time for fun to nurture their relationship. They spent a lot of time with many cherished friends throughout the years and truly valued them playing cards, snowmobiling and country line dancing. Upon retirement, he realized his childhood dream of owning his own sawmill.

Chester was a member of Robinson Legion Post of Carlton and V.F.W. Post 3392 of Kewaunee.

Chester is survived by his wife, Eleanor; four daughters and two sons-in-law: Kathy and Paul Jacques; Sue Schneider and Wayne Roberts; Linda Hansen-Overly and Jim Overly; Jakki Hansen; ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; two sisters: Grace (Norman) Harrison; Donna Mae Vincent and many nieces, nephews and friends.
