Harriet Redelin

Harriet Redelin, aged 92, of Sister Bay passed away on Friday January 17th.

She was the daughter of Richard and Agnes Hammersmith and is predeceased by Aloysius, Alice, Raymond, and Donald Hammersmith. She is survived by her brothers Joseph and Lester Hammersmith and sister Helen Wypyski, three daughters - Karen Redelin, Christine Yaksic and Diane Redelin, and 6 grandchildren, a great grandson and a great-great grand daughter.

Harriet was born in Egg Harbor and raised in Sister Bay. After attending Gibraltar High School she moved to Chicago as a young woman where she married Charles Redelin and started her family. She returned each summer to Sister Bay to instill a love for Door County in her daughters. She worked for Bell Telephone and South Chicago Community Hospital for many years. Harriet loved to cook and bake for her family and was known widely for her outstanding baking. She was an avid bird watcher, flower gardener and nature lover.

Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday January 21, 2014 at Stella Maris Parish - Sister Bay Site at 11:00 A.M.

Harriet will be interred at St. Rosalia Cemetery in Sister Bay, WI
