Steve F. Bohling, 63, of Sturgeon Bay, died Tuesday morning, January 22, 2014, at his home with family at his side.
He was born September 21, 1950 in Sun Prairie, the son of the late John and Mary (Semor) Bohling. Steve graduated from Sun Prairie High School and was then drafted into the U.S. Army, serving nearly 20 years. His family had owned and operated Bohling Plumbing and Heating in Sun Prairie. Steve moved to Sturgeon Bay in 1993, where he was the overnight manager for Wal-Mart until his cancer was diagnosed in September of 2013.
He lived for his grandchildren and the joy they brought him. Steve also enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia, woodworking, and music of the Beatles.
He leaves to mourn his passing, one daughter, Jaime (Joe) Reyes; two grandchildren, Jose and Selena, all of Sturgeon Bay; two sisters, Jean (George) Smith of Sun Prairie, Susan Stawicki of Madison; four brothers, James Bohling, Mike (Judy) Bohling of Waunakee, Edward (Sheila) Bohling and Joseph Bohling both of Sturgeon Bay.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, John Seville Bohling and Mary Agnes (Semor) Bohling; and his brother, Thomas Bohling.
Remembrances celebrating his life will be held at 12:00 (noon) on Sunday, January 26, 2014, at Huehns Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay. Friends may call on Sunday at Huehns Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 12:00 p.m. Military honors will follow the services at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory for Relay for Life, % America Cancer Society, Team Wal-Mart Sturgeon Bay.
