Deborah "Debbie" Ann Klotter

Deborah “Debbie” Ann Klotter, 63, of Fish Creek, passed away Monday morning, January 27, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born January 3, 1951 in Chicago, the daughter of the late Frank and Grace (Sliwinski) Ross. Following graduation from Immaculate Conception High School in Elmhurst, IL, class of 1969, Debbie attended the University of Northern Illinois where she studied education, and was a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority. On June 10, 1973 she married Herbert F. Klotter at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Debbie had been the manager of the Cookery Restaurant in Fish Creek for 26 years, and for the past six years was at Bay Lake Bank in Fish Creek.

Debbie cherished her family, especially her husband of 40 years. She was a caring mother and doting grandmother. When she wasn’t shopping for her grandchildren, she enjoyed sewing and crocheting.

Debbie would be described as being very wise, and sweet, the best wife, mother and sister ever. With her heart of gold, she took care of anyone who needed her. She was the most kind and honest person you could ever meet, finding the good in everyone.

Survivors include her loving husband, Herb of Fish Creek; daughter, Denise (Patrick) Grabowski of La Crosse; two granddaughters, Brynn and Isla; four siblings, Terrence (Kathleen) Ross of Hinckley, IL, Peggy (Gregory) Hurdle of Lombard, IL, Bonita (Charles) Smrz of Fish Creek, Bryan (fiancé, Sheila) Ross of Schiller Park, IL; brother-in-law, Robert (Gloria) Klotter of Luxemburg; sister-in-law, Marie (Anthony) Cuzzone of Elmhurst, IL; she was a loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Jean Ann “Jeannie.”

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 30, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Robert Stegmann officiating.

Friends may call at the church, Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Huehns Funeral Home is caring for the Klotter Family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Debbie Klotter Memorial Fund at Bay Lake Bank in Fish Creek, 9405 State Highway 42, Fish Creek, WI 54212.
