Rita M. Quistorff

Rita M. Quistorff, age 86, of Kewaunee died peacefully on Sunday, February 18, 2014 after a brief illness She was born on November 20, 1927 at Slovan to the late Joseph and Caroline (Koss) Spacek.

Rita married Donald L. Quistorff on May 14, 1949 and he preceded her in death on October 23, 1983.

She was a lifelong member of Holy Rosary Church and active member of the Rosary Society, was a member of W.F.L.A. Lodge 365 of Kewaunee for over sixty years and a former treasurer for many years, a member of the Kewaunee Senior Center and card playing marathon. She loved playing sheep head, tending her flower and vegetable gardens, working her puzzle books and watching the Packers.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Donald D. and Janice F. Quistorff, Green Bay; a brother-in law: Gerald Quistorff, Luxemburg; five nieces: Cheryl Bohm; Karen (William) Vachon; Jean (Dan) Gaumond; Susan (Ron) Hibben; Pat (Bob) Anderegg; five nephews: Archie (Terri) Malechek; Ken (LeAnn) Malehcek; Edward (Mary Sue) Rand; Bruce (Peggy) Quistorff and Brian Quistorff. She was preceded in death by three sisters: Helen (Edward) Ratajczak; Evelyn (Alvin) Ciche; Mildred (Archie) Malachek; one sister-in-law: Ruth Quistorff.

Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Friday, February 21 at Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee. A parish wake service will be held will be held at 7:00 p.m. by Dcn. Robert Pribek. Visitation continues on Saturday at the funeral home until 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. William Swichtenberg at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, Kewaunee. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank Drs. Leah Nitke, Fraancis Wolf and Michael Volk and the owners and staff of Rennes Health and Rehab Center.
