Ruth H. Morrison

Ruth Helen Morrison, 84, of Sturgeon Bay passed away at Ministry Door County Medical Center on March 25, 2014. She was born October 7, 1929, in Philadelpha to Frederick and Lydia Muckley.

Ruth met her husband, Theodore “Ted” Morrison, while he was in the service and she was staying at her parent’s summer home in New Jersey. They were married on December 20, 1954, in Virginia. They raised their family in Fox Valley, IL and then retired to Door County in 1988. Ruth was a very dedicated wife and mother and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Ted; two children, Ted Morrison, Jr., Sturgeon Bay; and Ruth (Scott) Nelson, Knoxville, TN; four grandchildren, Scottie (Melissa) Nelson, Amanda (Keith) Romines, Mallory Morrison and Megan Morrison; two great-grandchildren, Kaytlyn Evans and Luke Nelson; one brother and sister-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Richard Muckley and a sister, Lydia Opie.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2014, at Forbes Funeral Home, the Rev. Russ May officiating. Burial will be in Hainesville Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and after 10:00 a.m. Friday until time of services. On-Line condolences may be offered at www.forbesfuneralhome.com
