Audrey H. Delebreau

Audrey H. Delebreau, age 78 of Kewaunee died unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, June 10, 2014. She was born March 28, 1936 in Luxemburg to the late Edward and Katherine (Colle) Ouradnik.

She graduated from Luxemburg High School in 1954. She married Robert J. Delebreau on April 11, 1959 at St. Mary’s Church in Luxemburg and he preceded her in death July 4, 1994.

After graduation she worked at Wisconsin Public Service Corp. until her marriage. She was a home maker until her children began school when she started working for the Kewaunee School District until retiring in 1999.

She was a member of Holy Rosary Church, she enjoyed bowling and was a member of many bowling leagues, was a member of Kewaunee Booster Club. She was an avid supporter of her children and grandchildren in Kewaunee, Kingsford, and Chilton athletics. She enjoyed spending time in her kitchen cooking for family and friends.

Survivors include two daughters and two sons-in-law: Mary and Paul Berkovitz, Kewaunee; Kaye and Hans Wienke, Iron Mountain, MI; three sons and two daughters-in-law: Robert E. Delebreau, Kewaunee; Gerald and Laurie Delebreau, Kewaunee; James and Carrie Delebreau, Chilton; thirteen grandchildren: Danielle Berkovitz; Alison Berkovitz (Fiancé Chris Theabo); Holly Berkovitz; Nelson Wienke; Ian Wienke; Aidan Wienke; Anthony Delebreau (Fiancee, Jenn O’Neil); Alex Delebreau; Douglas Delebreau; Libbie Delebreau; Brock Delebreau; Boyd Delebreau; Ben Delebreau; one sister: Joan Behnke, Luxemburg; a sister-in-law: Janet Ouradnik, Green Bay; brother-in-law: Harvey LeFevre, Casco; three sisters-in-law: Dorothy (Donald) Cochart, Casco; Frances (Urban) Destiche, Luxemburg; Jeanne (James) Junion, New Franken; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one grandson: Kyle Berkovitz; one brother: Charles Ouradnik; brother-in-law: Harold Behnke and sister-in-law: Mae LeFevre; her mother-in-law and father-in-law: Edward Delebreau and Libbie (Holub) Delebreau Fameree and Ernest Fameree; her niece: Carol Junio and a nephew: Eddie Ouradnik.

Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Friday, June 13 at Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee. A parish wake service will be held at 7:00 p.m. by Dcn. Bob Miller. Visitation continues on Saturday at the funeral home until 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Holy Rosary Church, Kewaunee with Fr. William Swichtenberg Officiating. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Casco.
