Rosemary Derenne

Rosemary Derenne, 87, Luxemburg, formerly of Rosiere, died Saturday afternoon, June 21, 2014 surrounded by her loving family in prayer.

She was born in Sugarbush to the late Jule J. and Anna M. (Dantinne) VanDenack on February 05, 1927. Rosemary graduated Valedictorian in 1944 from Casco High School, later attending business college in Minnesota. She was a teletype operator during WWII for the United States Air Force, at Patterson Field, Ohio. On April 24, 1946 Rosemary married the love of her life, Walter H. Derenne at Holy Trinity Church, Casco. Together they ran Derenne's General Store in Walhain prior to farming and running the cattle business, while raising their twelve children. He preceded her in death October 11, 1978.

Survivors include her children, Anne (Melvin) Mertens, Green Bay; Cecilia ("Joe" deceased) Jossart and friend Dennis Dhuey; New Franken, Dolores (Jerry) Jeanquart, Brussels; Rita Price, Howard; Jim (Jeannene Jenkins) Derenne, Luxemburg; Jean (Dave)Winters, Green Bay; Cathy (Randy) Fameree, Luxemburg; Andy ("Lori" deceased) Derenne, New Franken; Frank (Debbie) Derenne, Mike J. (Brenda) Derenne, Char (Randy) Everard, Vicki (Don) Schmelzer, all of Casco; thirty three grandchildren, Mel Mertens Jr., Phil (Dina) Mertens, Paul (Desi) Mertens, Melissa, Melanie (Carl) Schuler, Chad (Laurie) Gehrke, Greg (Connie) Josephs, Walter (Kristen) Jossart, Amanda (Jared) Schmidt, Kara (Jason) Schmidt, Kristin (Craig) Madison, Stephanie (Jason) Ives, Dan Patzlaff, Matt (Jessica) Patzlaff, Cori (Tom) Plier, Jason Derenne, Stacey (Casey) Howarth, Brian (friend Krystal Jacobs) Fameree, Chris (Ruth) Fameree, Eric (Sarah) Derenne, Angie (Jason) Blasier, Amber (Greg) Aregoni, Tiffany (John) Davister, Ashley (Jason) Arbuckle, Jessica (friend Mat Agamaite) Derenne, Robin (Nick) Roberts, Drew Derenne, Zac (Katie) Everard, Lance ( fiancee Jacki Lardinois) Everard, Whitney (special friend Nathan Bittorf) Everard, Derek (Elisabeth) Schmelzer, Kalla (fiance Justin Linzmeier) Schmelzer, Mikaela (friend Mitch Berceau) Schmelzer, 39 great-grandchildren, one brother, Julius (Pat) VanDenack, Florida; one sister, Sister Julia Marie VanDenack, Manitowoc; one brother in law, Tony Kushava, Green Bay; two sisters in law, Teresa Derenne, Dorothy Mancheski, both of Green Bay, numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosemary was preceded in death by, one son in law, Joseph Jossart, one daughter in law, Lori Derenne, two grandchildren, Nicholas Jeanquart, Lawrence Mertens, one sister, Armaine Kushava, one sister in law, Dolores VanDenack, brothers in law and sisters in law, Goldie (Ethel) Derenne, Norris (Arvella) Derenne, Joe (Anna) Derenne, Jennie (Raymond) Baudhuin, Irene (John) Holsbach, Josie (Arnold) Prevost, Clem Derenne, Gene Mancheski.

Friends may call at McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, 3:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday, June 24, 2014. The Chaplet of The Divine Mercy at 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue between 9:30 and 10:45 am on Wednesday at St. Hubert Church, Rosiere. Funeral 11:00 am Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the church with Rev. Frank Sherry and Deacon Paul Zenefski officiating. Burial in St. Hubert Cemetery,

She will be sadly missed by her children and grandchildren. We were blessed to have a Mother who was a strong woman of great faith.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Heartland Hospice, especially Barbie and Krystal and all of Rosemary's caregivers.
