Dorothy Hoffman

Dorothy Hoffman, age 94 of Kewaunee died on December 30, 2013 at Aurora Baycare Medical Center. She was born on June 26, 1919 in Two Rivers to the late George and Clara (Grimm) Rank. Clara died when Dorothy was very young and she was raised by her step-mother, the late Frances (Lehnert) Rank.

She graduated from Kewaunee High School in 1937. She married Frederick (Fritz) (Radio Doctor) Hoffman on February 17, 1942 and he preceded her in death on December 6, 1961.

She clerked at Berner’s Drug Store and Detampel’s Dime Store. She was a lifelong member of Holy Rosary Church. She was an avid reader.

Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law: JuDean (Judy) and Gary Stellick, Alexandria, MN; Deborah Hoffman, Kewaunee; one granddaughter: Kristin Stellick; one great grandson: Aiden Butler; one sister: Pat Jadin, Kewaunee and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert (Betty) Rank and Jerry (Irma) Rank; three sisters-in-law: Frieda (John) Schneider; Viola (Henry) Ebert; Irma (Edward) Bankert.

A memorial Mass will be announced and held at a later date.
