Lloyd A. Junio, 87, Algoma, died Monday, September 10, 2012 at the Algoma Long Term Care Unit. He was born July 15, 1925 in Algoma to William and Appolonia (Metzler) Junio.
As a young man he helped on the home farm and later worked at the Algoma Hardwoods for 42 years.
Lloyd married Pearl Blahnik at St. Mary Catholic Church in Algoma on June 12, 1948.
Lloyd was an avid Packer fan and Algoma Wolves fan, he also enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and playing softball in the "Old Timers" League.
Lloyd is survived by his wife Pearl, his seven children Daniel (Nancy), Green Bay; Charles (Susan), Green Bay; Robert (Bonnie), Algoma; Jane (Terry) Moede, Algoma; Peter (Connie), Algoma; Paul (fiancée Cathy), Juneau; and Andrew (Lynn), Algoma; grandchildren Chris Junio, Tracy (Ken) Verhagen, Annie (Kevin) Goffard, Corey (Kate) Junio, Jenny (Randy) Johnson, Amy (Adam) Woodworth, Aaron (fiancée Andrea) Moede, Rayn (fiancée Amanda) Moede, Tyler Junio, Eric Junio, Alan Diedrich, David Junio, Tina Woracheck and Cassie (Eric) Woracheck; two sisters Rosemary Delsart and Audrey (Tony) Hamernick; two brothers Francis (Diane) Junio and Tom (Jean) Junio; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Shirley Junio and Gary Kostichka. Many nieces and nephews survive him. He was preceded in death by two daughters-in-law Sandi Junio and Carol Junio; three brothers Raymond, Ken and LeRoy Junio; two sisters Shirley Moreau and Sharlene Kostichka; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Clifford Delsart, Melvin Moreau, Jean Junio, Victor and Loretta Blahnik and Roland and Ester Blahnik
Family and friends may call at the SCHINDERLE FUNERAL HOME, Algoma from 4 - 8 pm Wednesday, September 12, 2012 and then after 10 am Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am with Rev. William Swichtenberg officiating. Prayer service 7 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial in the parish cemetery.
