Betty Jean Skees, 77, of Sturgeon Bay, WI, passed away early Saturday morning (October 27, 2012) at Golden Living Center-Dorchester.
She was born in Sturgeon Bay on September 6, 1935, the daughter of Robert and Dorothy (May) King. Betty graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in 1953. Later, she worked for Hatco as an assembler.
Betty loved cats and had quite a collection of cat memorabilia.
She will be dearly missed by her three sons, Mark Skees of Manitowoc, WI, Scott Skees of Kalamazoo, MI, and Todd Skees of Atlanta, GA; one brother, Robert (Janice) King of Sturgeon Bay, WI; and other relatives and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service honoring and celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2012, at Huehns Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay with Rev. Reeder Herrick officiating. There will be visitation at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
Memorials may be made in her name to AsceraCare Hospice or Unity Hospice.
