Clarence J. Monfils, 88, a life long resident of Brussels, passed away at home on November 2, 2012. He was born on March 8, 1924, in Gardner to Emil and Louise (Parins) Monfils. On January 25, 1944, he married Margaret LeRoy in Namur. Clarence was a dairy farmer for most of his life, and was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters.
Survivors include three children, Mary Jo Adams, Los Fresnos, TX; Lon (Barb) Monfils, Deerfield, WI; and Jim (Sharon) Monfils, Green Bay; three brothers, Jerry (Vi) Monfils, Brussels; Marvin (Jean) Monfils, Green Bay; Wilmer Monfils, Green Bay; in-laws, Millie Monfils and Elly LeRoy; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Lawrence, Walter, and Sylvester; one brother-in-law, Fritz LeRoy.
Funeral services will be at 10:15 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2012, at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay and 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis and St. Mary’s Parish in Brussels with Rev. Francis Schmidt and Rev. Pius Cotter concelebrating. Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
