Norbert Fred Kaye, 81, of Egg Harbor, passed away at his home on November 27, 2012. He was born on May 31, 1931, in Little Sturgeon to Fred and Norine (Chaudoir) Kaye. Norbert served his country in the U.S. Army from 1950-1953. On July 18, 1953, he married Kathleen Carmody in Egg Harbor. Norbert worked as a crane operator for the Army Corps of Engineers in Kewaunee and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen; four children, Paul (Deborah) Kaye, Milwaukee; Michael (Mary) Kaye, Sturgeon Bay; Barbara Nolan, Green Bay; Mary Kaye, Sturgeon Bay; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, Lloyd (Judy) Kaye, Manitowoc; two sisters, Jean Kissinger, Marshfield; Geraldine Bellin, Manitowoc; in-laws, Joan Peterson, Frank (Sue) Carmody, Eunice Londo, Sister Margaret Ann, Mike (Rita) Carmody, and Peggy Carmody. Norbert was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, Doug Nolan.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at St. John the Baptist Church in Egg Harbor with Rev. David Ruby officiating. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, Dec. 3, at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services on Tuesday at the church. A prayer service will be at 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established in Norbert’s name. On-line condolences may be offered at www.forbesfuneralhome.com.
