Delia E. Brown

Delia E. Brown, 98, Sturgeon Bay passed away at Golden Living Center Dorchester on Saturday, December 15, 2012. She was born March 8, 1914 in Niagara, WI to Joseph and Leona Provencher. She was married to Elmer Hoagland in 1933 in Chicago and then James Brown on December 7, 1967. He preceded her in death in 1981.

Delia worked at Amity Leather for twenty years. She was active in the Door County Marine Men's Auxilary and Door County Quilting Guild. Delia did needle work and enjoyed her garden and flowers.

Survivors include three daughters, Lee Ann Blizel-Lubeck (Fred), Sturgeon Bay; V. Sue Wright, Appleton; Bonnie (Ron) Gorzynski, Ludington, MI; Ten grandchildren, Allen “Hermie” Blizel, Paul (Rhonda) Blizel, Patrick Blizel, Mary Olsen, Michelle Hoagland, Renee (Mark) Mendez, Jason

(Karen) Wright, Allison Wright, Val Gorzynski, Deanna (Art) Lutz; Nine great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Delmer; two son in laws, Bennett Wright and Allen Blizel, eight brothers and three sisters.

Memorial services will be held in May with burial of cremains at Hainesville Cemetery. Memorials may be given to St. John Bosco School fund in her memory. On-line condolences may be offered at www.forbesfuneralhome.com.
