Carol Coryell joined her Lord for Christmas on Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at the age of 69. She was born on Aug. 5, 1943, in Meadow Grove, Nebraska to George and Adeline DeCamp.
Carol moved to Green Bay and worked for H&R Block until opening her own H&R Block office in Sturgeon Bay in 1974. She later established her own independent tax office in Sturgeon Bay and operated this business until 2002, at which time she sold her business to Luethner Tax & Financial Services. She continued working for Luethner until the time of her illness.
Carol enjoyed playing cards with her various long time friends. She enjoyed her numerous trips to Las Vegas each year and traveling to Green Bay Packer away games. She had been an avid bowler and loved shooting darts in the women’s city dart league.
Survivors include her sister, Leona Maseman (fiancé, Richard Pfiefer), Norfolk, Nebraska; nephews and niece, Ralph (Sandra) Johnson, Mike (Michele) Johnson, Renee (Mark) Pemrick, and their families; she is also survived by her dog, Bear and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her former husband, Fred Coryell, and her very dear friend, John Selvick.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert Konkol officiating. Burial will be in Nebraska. A celebration of Carol’s life will follow the services in the church dining room. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay and at the church on Friday form 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
