Earl “Bud” Stroh, 84, passed away peacefully at home, Dec. 29, 2012. He was born Oct. 27, 1928, in Sturgeon Bay to the late Earl and Gertrude (Bourgeois) Stroh.
Bud graduated from S.B.High School in 1946. He served as a corpsman in the navy, 1946 to 1948. He graduated from the School of Pharmacy, Ferris, Big Rapids, MI, in 1952. On June 20, 1959, he married Jacquelyn Vanden Heuvel, in Scottville, MI. Both pharmacists, Bud and Jacquy owned and operated Stroh’s Pharmacy, Sturgeon Bay from 1961 to 1991. In 1992, they turned their home at 608 Kentucky into a B&B. Bud was a member of the Sturgeon Bay Lions and the Knights of Columbus for over fifty years.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years; their children, Deb (Bob) Stroh-Larson, Sturgeon Bay; Lisa Stroh, Seattle, WA.; Teresa (Chris) Stroh-Dewees, Palo Alto, CA; and Tony Stroh, Sacramento, CA; four grandchildren, Becca Larson, Krister Larson, both of Sturgeon Bay; Samantha Dewees and Sophie Dewees, of Palo Alto, CA; his sister, Marian (Rod) Schlise, Sturgeon Bay; his brother, Robert Stroh, Riverside, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Connie Stroh.
