Alfred Charles Eliason, known to his friends and family as Chuck, passed away Sunday, January 20th at age 82.
He was born in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin on July 31, 1930. He retired from sailing the Great Lakes with the Corps of Engineers, where he served as Chief Engineer on a hopper dredge, the Haines, based out of Grand Haven, Michigan. He lived in Bullhead City, Arizona the past ten years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Janet and his daughter Stephanie (Hugh) Dittemore, two grandsons Jason and Jeff (Beth) Rudd, a great grandson Jonathan Rudd, two sisters Sara Anschutz and Terry (Robert) Davis, brother-in-law Robert (Diane) Krohn, sister-in-law Nancy Jansen, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father (Emma and Alfred Eliason).
A memorial mass will be held at St. John the Baptist in Laughlin, Nevada on Thursday, January 24th at 3:00 pm.
He will be laid to rest this spring in Algoma, Wisconsin.
