Charles H. Sternard, 48, of Sturgeon Bay, following a lengthy illness, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013, at his home with his loving family at his side.
He was born on August 16, 1964 the son of Elsa McCarty and Lester Sternard. Chuck graduated from Sevastopol High School with the class of 1982. On April 25, 1987 he married Marla Hanson. For many years, he was a locally respected automobile salesman at Jim Olson Motors, formerly Bill Boettcher Automotive. Those who knew him know he was a consummate professional at work.
Chuck spent his whole life hunting and fishing with his family and friends. He went out on top in his most recent bow and gun hunting seasons scoring an eight point buck in each hunt. Throughout his life, Chuck always incorporated humor and love and these are the lessons that will live on with everyone that knew him. He loved his wife Marla so very much, and was a passionate father to his children. Chuck had many friends and treasured the time spent with each and every one of them.
Chuck will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Marla; daughter, Melanie; and sons, Chad and Kyle (and their friends, Brian Walsworth, Cynthia Harris, Christine Teasdale); his mother, Elsa (John) McCarty; his, father, Lester (Marsha) Sternard; brothers, Kevin (Michelle) Sternard (and their daughters, Ashley and Hannah), Richard (Jessica) Sternard, John (Hannah) Sternard (and their daughter, Sophia), Derek (Jessica) McCarty (and their daughter, Lily); parents-in-law, William (Virginia) Hanson; sisters and brother in-law, Christine (Lee) Peterson (their daughter, Shanna), Valerie (Tom) Johnson, Philip (Beth) Hanson (and their daughters, Allison, Nicole, Bailey), Amy (Jeff) Gauger (their daughters, Katelyn and Emily); and many other dear family and close friends, and co-workers.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Efrom and Leokadia Hundt, and Richard and Mable Sternard.
