Marie (Gustafson) Kiedrowski, 82, of Little Sturgeon, passed away peacefully at home on February 13, 2013, with her family by her side. She was born October 19, 1930, to Clarence and Irene (Corbisier) Gustafson. Marie grew up in Little Sturgeon and graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in 1948.
On January 13, 1951, she married Daniel Kiedrowski. They raised their family, a son, Dennis and a daughter, Debbie in Milwaukee. Marie worked for the Milwaukee Public School System until her retirement in 1988, when she and her husband, Danny, moved back to Little Sturgeon. Marie was a member of Salem Lutheran Church and the Door County Historical Society. She was an avid gardener and loved the outdoors, always making sure the birds never went hungry. Marie loved spending time with family, especially her great-grand kids, Alysso and Zach. Cookouts, fish boils, playing cards and watching the Packers were some of her favorite pastimes.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie (John) Kirsch, Little Sturgeon; granddaughter, Jesse Kiedrowski; grandson, Michael Kiedrowski; great- grandchildren, Alyssa, Zach, Sophie and Danny; one brother, Allan Gustafson, Little Sturgeon; a sister, Gail (Roger) Blasier, Sturgeon Bay; sister-in-law, Marge Gustafson, Little Sturgeon; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Danny in 1989, her son Dennis in 2000, two brothers, Vernon and Norman, a sister Janet Claflin and her beloved dog, Mandy. She will be truly missed by her daughter, granddaughter, grandson, great-grandkids, brother and sister and their families, and friends, including her “always by her side” friend, Shadow.
