June E. Bretl

June Edna Bretl, 90, of Maplewood, passed away at her home on February 17, 2013, with her family at her side. She was born November 2, 1922, in Denmark, Wisconsin to Louis and Alvina (Warm) Mueller. On February 1, 1951, she married Celestine Bretl in Denmark, WI; he preceded her in death on September 2, 2002. June was well known for her cooking and baking. She enjoyed going to the family cabin in Wausaukee with her husband and family.

Survivors include her four children, Mary (Lee) Ellison, Forestville; Mark (Pam) Bretl, Peggy Lardinois, and Michael (Lynn) Bretl, all of Sturgeon Bay; six grandchildren, John and Reese Ellison; Adam and Tyler Bretl; Allison Lardinois, and Alex Bretl; a great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Ellison. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a granddaughter, Abbie Lardinois and a son-in-law, Dale Lardinois.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at Holy Name of Mary Church, Maplewood, the Rev. Anthony Birdsall and Deacon Paul Zenefski officiating. Entombment will be in the Shrine of Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church until time of services. Forbes Funeral Home (http://www.forbesfuneralhome.com/) is in charge of arrangements.
