Vicky Ann Robertoy, 55, of Egg Harbor, and of Wabeno, passed away Saturday morning, February 16, 2013, in the comfort of her home with family at her side after a 19-year battle with multiple sclerosis.
She was born April 26, 1957, to Victor and Donna (Wagner) Bosman in Sturgeon Bay. Upon her graduation from Southern Door High School in 1975, Vicky worked for Evergreen Nursery for several years. Then she worked for Hyline Orchard near Highway 42 and County Road EE in Fish Creek for the next 20 years. There, she operated and repaired the cherry shakes and other machinery.
On September 16, 1978, Vicky married Paul Robertoy at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Bay. They were currently members of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Juddville (Fish Creek). In 1999, Vicky and Paul purchased a place in Wabeno, where she made many friends.
Years ago, Vicky had been a member of the Southern Door Travelers Snowmobile Club. She loved going to the casinos, especially Potawatomi, Carter, and Mole Lake, playing the slots and bingo. Vicky liked spending time outdoors, enjoying hunting, fishing, and working in the garden with her asparagus patch. Along with her husband, Paul, she enjoyed restoring cars. Vicky also had fun going to the fair and riding horses. Eventually, M.S. prevented her from doing all of those things she loved except spending time with her family and her dog. She always had a Coke in hand and smile on her face.
Vicky will be deeply missed by her husband, Paul Robertoy, of Egg Harbor; two children, Tracy Robertoy, and Paul (Crystal) Robertoy, both of Egg Harbor; two grandchildren, Kayla and Kimberly; three siblings, Sandy (Jim) Bosman, Sue (Al) Kaye, and Steve (Joann) Bosman, all of Sturgeon Bay; many nieces and nephews, step-father, Orin Gunluagsson of Sturgeon Bay; parents-in-law, Marvin (Loretta) Robertoy of Fish Creek; and two sisters-in-law, Nancy (Dennis) Delsart of Egg Harbor, and Cindy (Dave) Enigl of Egg Harbor.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 21, 2013, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Juddville with Rev. Michael Brecke officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Huehns Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay and on Thursday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.
