Myrtle A. Schley, 94 years, of Sturgeon Bay, died Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Sturgeon Bay Senior Living Whispering Heights surrounded by her family.
She was born December 4, 1918 in the Town of Gardner, the daughter of the late John and Minnie (Schmidtke) Keller. Myrtle graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in 1936. On November 1, 1941 she married Leroy Schley at Salem Lutheran Church, where she was a lifelong member. Leroy preceded her in death on July 13, 2005.
Survivors include her five daughters, Sharon Whitford of Grafton, Nancy Schley of Leesburg, FL, Elaine Kasten of Forestville, Wendy (Gary) DeKeyser of Green Bay, Diane (Greg) Schmidt of Green Bay; son, James Schley (Darrell) of Appleton; sister-in-law, Leona Schley; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Leroy; parents, John and Minnie Keller; 12 sisters; and five brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday (March 20, 2013) at Salem Ev. Lutheran Church with Rev. John Seelman officiating. Burial will be at Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church Wednesday from noon until the time of services at 2:00 p.m.
