Elmyra "Elly" LeRoy

Elmyra “Elly” LeRoy, 85, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away at Pine Crest Village on March 29, 2013. She was born August 5, 1927, in Brussels to Harold and Evelyn (Gilson) Herlache. On April 11, 1945, she married Francis “Fritz” LeRoy in Brussels; he preceded her in death on April 21, 2004.

Elly was a member of Corpus Christi Church and the St. Ann Society. She was also an associate of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Holy Cross. She was a reading buddy at Corpus Christi School, a Girl Scout Leader and was valedictorian of her high school class at Brussels.

Survivors include six children, Lloyd “Butch” (Margie) LeRoy, Novato, CA; Andy (Margaret Kehl) LeRoy, Rochester, MN; Marcy King (John Boyle), Oshkosh; Mary (Art) Lopas and Barbara Jacquet, Sturgeon Bay; and Clare (Dan) Hubler, Brookfield; ten grandchildren, Jenny (Jim) Bostick, Matthew (Emily) King, Tim (Renee) King, Alex Lopas, Luke Lopas, Erik (Stacie) Jacquet, Doug (Kirsten) Jacquet; Collin, Jason and Grace Hubler; seven great-grandchildren, sister, Audrey (Don) Herlache, Sturgeon Bay; sister-in-law, Margaret Monfils, Brussels; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Sister Kathryn, son-in-law, Harold Jacquet, sister, Jacqueline (Wally) Marin and brother-in-law, Clarence Monfils.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Corpus Christi Church, the Rev. Carl Schmitt officiating. Entombment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Forbes Funeral Home and then 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church until time of services. A prayer service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. On-line condolences may be offered at
