Bradley M. Busse, 74, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on November 30, 2018, at the Unity Hospice Facility in DePere. He was born June 1, 1944, in Illinois and raised by Earl H. and Thelma K. Addison.
Brad married Carolyn Sue Williams on July 3, 1965, in Galena, Illinois. They moved to Sturgeon Bay in 1970 and shortly thereafter he became a school bus driver for the Sevastopol School System. For many years, Brad was affectionately known by the students and parents as the “Cookie Monster”.
Due to health issues, he later worked for Door County Cycles, sold cars, worked for a tax office and served as the Town Clerk of Sevastopol. Brad will always be remembered as a colorful character who had a great sense of humor.
Survivors include his wife Carolyn; 2 children, Ruann (Gregory) Wood of Knoxville, TN; and Jason (Jessica) Busse of Green Bay; 6 grandchildren: Wesley, Derek, Austin, Emily, Jordan, and Marshall. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 6, 2018, at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay with Pastor Jerry Marsden officiating. Friends may call at the Forbes Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Unity Hospice of DePere.
