William H. Kezo

William H. Kezo, 68, of Algoma, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2021, at his home. Born to the late Harold and Esther (Johnson) Kezo on January 29, 1953. Saved, born again, and baptized on February 13, 2009.

     Bill graduated from Southern Door High School in 1972 before attending NWTC-SB diesel mechanic school. He had been active in FFA with Bill Brey. He was a state certified EMT, diesel mechanic, proficient at sign language, CNA, and worked for Schneider Trucking as a semi-truck operator, and Ham radio general KB9QKE. For many years, Bill focused his work with church restorations as a skilled painter and decorator. He also worked for Eichers Feed and Grain, was a mill and grain driver, bartended Brownsville Station, worked for JJ Security at Door County Hospital, was a home health provider for Porter Kiehnau and Brown County Mental Health as CNA, was a Kieler Fire Department, Cuba City EMT, and laminator at PBI and Bay Ship. Bill had also owned and operated Memory Land DJ Service.

     On June 5, 1976, he married the love of his life, Susan M. Ehlers at St. Peters Ev. Lutheran Church. He enjoyed dancing with Susie, playing darts on leagues, playing cribbage, riding his Goldwing cycle, taking his boat out fishing, watching war and western documentaries and movies, and watching his five grandchildren who always put a smile on his face with every visit.

     Bill was very thankful for his wife, Susie taking care of him when he was struck with six strokes.  She stood by his side, sticking with him like Gorilla glue.

     He leaves behind his wife, Susie of 45 years; two sons, Chris Kezo, Ryan (Angela) Kezo; five grandchildren, Mariah, Malachi, Micah, Ezra, Hannah Kezo; two sisters, Rose Ullman, Lynn Hermes; godsons, Jim Keller, Eric Ullman; brother, Bob (Karol) Kezo; sisters-in-law, Joy Kezo, Joan Kezo; many dear nieces and nephews; cousins, Marge Conrad of Illinois; nephew, Russel Ehlers; brother-in-law, Ron Ehlers; best friend, Darrel Clark; aunt, Veronica Vertz.

      Preceding him in death were his parents; grandparents; nieces, April Kezo and Tracy Ehlers; In-Laws; brothers, Ken Kezo, Dave Kezo; friends, Gary Keller, Jacobe Phillips, cousins, Beadie Tott, George Tott; like a father, Frank Clark; three uncles, Floyd, Lloyd, Julius Vertz; his dog, Caleb; brothers-in-law, Jim and Bob Ehlers, Jack Hermes, Glen Ullman; and sisters-in-law, Judy, and Mae Ehlers.

     Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 14, 2021 at Huehns Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Bayside Cemetery.

     Friends may call on Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Huehns Funeral Home and on Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Devotion to be held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday evening.
