Jeffery C. Kroening

Jeffery C. Kroening, 67, Algoma, passed away Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee with his family by his side. 

 

Jeff was born December 22, 1953, in Algoma to Clifford and Maxine (Krueger) Kroening and was the second of three children. 

 

Jeff married Terry DeJardine on September 8, 1973, and they were married more than 47 years. He was a welder at Bay Ship before opening his own electrical business in 1987.

 

Jeff was a talented handyman, who was always ready to help his friends and family with their latest projects. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage, and most especially he loved spending time with his family. He was a beloved husband and dad, and he was a proud Papa.

 

Jeff is survived by his wife, Terry; his three children, Kyle (Leigh Ann) Kroening, Kayce (Jeff) Maloney, and Nicole (Scott) Meverden; six grandchildren, Peyton, Braden, and Adelyn Kroening, and Vivika, Jack, and Emiline Meverden; brothers-in-law, Bob Schmelzer, John (Danielle) DeJardine, and Jason (Nichole) DeJardine; sister-in-law, Chris Kroening; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

 

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Cliff and Maxine Kroening; his sister, Gloria Schmelzer; and his brother, Randy Kroening.

 

Visitation will be held from Noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 8, 2021, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Algoma. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Joel McKenney officiating. There will be a private committal at a later date. SCHINDERLE FUNERAL HOME, Algoma was entrusted to help the family with arrangements. Online condolences can be expressed at www.schinderle.com.
