Darwin "Darky" DeGrave

                Darky J. DeGrave, 72, of Luxemburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday Nov. 11th at St. Vincent Hospital.

               He was born on April 24th, 1949, to the late Norman J. and Florence M. (DeGrand) DeGrave. Graduated from Luxemburg Blue-Jays-(last graduating class). And he was a member of the Army Reserve for 6 years. On May 29th 1971, he married Rita V. Treml at St. Mary Church in Luxemburg. They just celebrated 50 years of marriage.

               Survivors include his loving wife Rita, their children, Missy (Steven Haen), Tracy (Tyler Fink), Paul (Heidi), Alicia (Tony Buresh), and Dave (Michelle).

               His greatest joy were his grandchildren, Sierra, Alivia, Kyra Paul, Nicolette (Ryan Ploof) and Andrew Haen, Logan and Callee Fink, Hailey, Abbie, Greyson DeGrave, Averi and Adrian Buresh, and Dawson DeGrave.

               Darky survived by brother LeRoy (Barb) DeGrave and sister Sharon (Mike) Dax, brother’s and sister’s in law, Linda DeGrave, Mary Thompson, Ronnie Blahnik, sister JoAnne Treml, John Shutter, Pat Lufter, Ben (Barb) Treml, Mary Davister, Victor (Linda) Treml, Mark (Cindy) Treml, Roland (Jean) Treml, Teri (Bill) Jerabek, Kay (Gary) Grunwald. His God children are Kristi LaPlante and Jeff DeGrave. Many nieces and nephews.

               Darky proceeded in death by his parents Norman and Florence DeGrave, their infant daughter Melanie, his brothers Ronnie (Maryann), Larry, Raymond DeGrave and sister Myra DeGrave. Mother in law and Father in law, Mayme and George Treml, four brothers-in-law Paul Treml, Butch Lufter, Gene Blahnik, Dale Davister, and sister-in-law Reggie Shutter.

               He enjoyed family, watching his son race, dirt track racing, Nascar, Packers, Brewers, feeding the birds, his 71 Buick, car shows, collecting classic toy cars. He had a sweet tooth and always had candy and shared with his grandchildren.

               During his life he grew up on a farm in Sugarbush, from there he worked 22 years at Steve’s Cheese and retired from WG & R in 2014. After he retired he enjoyed driving his Buick, cutting lawn, spending time with grandkids, and occasionally enjoying a cold beer.

               Friends and Family may call between 3-7 pm at St. Thomas the Apostle Church on Thursday Nov 18th. Closing parish prayer service 6:45 pm on Thursday.  Visitation will continue between 9:00 to 10:15 am on Friday, November 19, 2021, at St. Thomas The Apostle Church, Sugarbush. Funeral 10:30am at the church with Rev. Carlo Villaluz officiating. Entombment at the Shrine of The Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Green Bay.
