Mack Wesley Djuplin

Mack Wesley Djuplin, 65, of Milwaukee, passed away at home, July 1, 2023.

     He was born March 17, 1958 in Sturgeon Bay, the son of John Wesley Djuplin and Marilyn Luceina (Magnusson) Djuplin. Mack attended Gibraltar High School and graduated with the class of 1976.

     On September 23, 1978, he married Julie Seaquist at Zion Lutheran church in Sister Bay. They were blessed with two children: Andrew and Elizabeth and raised their family in Sturgeon Bay.

     Mack was initially employed as an electrician with Peterson Builders, Inc. (PBI) in Sturgeon Bay. He then worked for Struck Construction before going back to the shipyards and working for Bay Shipbuilding Co., both in Sturgeon Bay.

     Mack and his family were members of the Sturgeon Bay United Methodist Church. He and Julie shared nearly 38 years of marriage. She preceded Mack in death on August 7, 2016. Mack moved to Milwaukee in December of 2022 to be closer to family.

     He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors.

     Mack will be missed by his two children, Andrew Djuplin of Austin, TX and Elizabeth (Josh) Mitchell of Milwaukee; grandson, Beckett Mitchell; siblings, Lynea Neuville of Sturgeon Bay and John (Marilu) Djuplin of the Town of Nasewaupee; siblings-in-law, Diane (David) Koertge of Green Bay, and David (Rosa) Seaquist of Downers Grove, IL; nephews; and other relatives.

     He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother-in-law, James Neuville; and other relatives.

     Mack's life will be honored with a memorial service held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Sturgeon Bay United Methodist with Rev. David Leistra officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the church on Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
