Stop the Bullying Contest
iPads to be given away
The radio stations of DoorCountyDailyNews.com in cooperation with Dr. Jennifer Olson will give away two new iPads to students who write the best public service message to stop bullying.
One iPad will be awarded to the best message written by a grade school student and a second iPad will be awarded to the best message submitted by a high school student.
Students attending schools in Door and Kewaunee County as well as home-schooled students are eligible.
Messages must be no longer than 60 words. Students will be required to submit their message in written form to the radio stations and record their message for broadcast. Parental authorization to use the messages on the radio stations of DoorCountyDailyNews.com must be signed in order for any students under the age of 18 to be recorded.
The announcements will be the property of the radio stations and will be run until a second Stop the Bullying campaign is started.
All announcements must identify the full name, grade and school of the student and conclude with:
"Stop the Bullying ... a campaign supported by Dr. Jennifer Olson and the radio stations of DoorCountyDailyNews.com."
The entry deadline is June 1, 2013.
Students can record by simply visiting our studios during regular business hours or by having station staff record in their schools.
The contest will end with winners announced on the WBDK and WSBW shopping show on Saturday, June 22, 2013.
Student Consent Form and Contest Guidelines
Note: We've had questions about our stop the bullying contest to win FREE iPads.
In order to become eligible students need to record the announcements.
All will run through June and winners will be selected in June.
So invite us to your school to record or stop at our studios in Fish Creek and Sturgeon Bay to record your message. All the details are available from the office of Dr. Jen Olson in Sturgeon Bay or at doorcountydailynews.com.
