Badgers edge Purdue 47-43 in triple overtime

By Terry Kovarik

The Purdue Boilermakers appeared ready to hand the Wisconsin Badgers their fifth loss of the season overall, and their fourth in the Big Ten West.  Purdue led 27-13 in with 9:12 left in the game when Purdue safety Brennan Thieneman picked off a Badger pass and took the ball to Wisconsin’s 32-yard line.  But Purdue safety Navon Mosley was flagged for pass interference and that returned the ball to the Badgers.  Jack Coan completed two passes for touchdowns to Danny Davis III.  That effort helped send the game into overtime.  From there Jack Coan connected with Jonathon Taylor for two touchdowns on five carries which helped propel the Badgers to a 47-43 win in West Lafayette and second place in the Big Ten West.
