Packers historian to hold 100th anniversary celebration at Door County Library

By Connor Harbit

STURGEON BAY, WI (Connor Harbit) — Green Bay fans from across the area are invited to celebrate 100 years of Packers football at the Door County Library December 1st. The hour-long event will be held from 2 p.m. to 3 and is a comprehensive and visual presentation of one of the National Football League’s most treasured and successful franchises. Author and former history teacher Jim Rice will be presenting the event and has compiled a large collection of Packers memorabilia. Rice said any Packers fan, from the casual to the hardcore, will find something to enjoy.

The event was originally scheduled for October before scheduling conflicts forced the library to move the event back to December. Attendees are encouraged to wear their best Packers ensemble. There will be a crowd-choice award for the best-dressed fan.
