Local Door and Kewaunee county schools headed to three different wrestling tournaments over the weekend, claiming four individual titles.
In Suamico, Reece and Colton Worachek each won titles in their respective weight classes to lead the Luxemburg-Casco Spartans to a 3rd place finish at the Battle on the Bay Tournament held at Bay Port High School. Bryce Bosman, Lucas Joniaux, and Nathan Ronsman also made the finals. Southern Door also took part in the Battle on the Bay with Grant Englebert the Eagle's top wrestler on the day with a 9th place finish.
In Brillion, Jeremy Jorns won his weight class at the school's Invitational to lead the way for Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol. The team was undermanned at only five wrestlers, but four of them made it as far as the tournament's semi-final round.
In Wabeno, Kewaunee's Jack Severin was impressive as he took the top honors at the Rebel Invitational. Several other wrestlers took home hardware as the Storm took fifth as a team.
