Packers add running back to the roster

The Green Bay Packers claimed running back Kapri Bibbs off waivers from the Washington Redskins. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transaction Monday.

Bibbs, a 5-foot-10, 203-pound, third-year player out of Colorado State, has played in 26 career games, recording 309 rushing yards on 70 attempts (4.4 avg.) with three touchdowns and 305 receiving yards on 29 receptions (10.5 avg.) with three TDs. He also has returned 10 kickoffs in his career with an average of 16.8 yards per return. Bibbs was originally signed as an undrafted rookie free agent by the Denver Broncos in 2014. From 2014-16, he spent time on Denver’s practice squad and active roster. Bibbs was traded by the Broncos to the San Francisco 49ers on April 29, 2017, but was waived by the 49ers following training camp. He spent parts of the 2017 season and this season on the Redskins’ practice squad and active roster. Bibbs will wear No. 22 for the Packers.
