Two seniors have made a significant impact on the court for the Sturgeon Bay boys basketball team this season. Point guard Mitchell Jackson and forward Carson Talbert have proven to be the off-court and on-court leaders for the Clippers, guiding the team to a 4-4 start during the first half of the season. Talbert leads the team in points and rebounds per game with Jackson following close behind in both categories. However, Jackson is a four-year player that does lead the team in assists. Head coach Jim Benesh said Jackson’s experience makes him a key player in the program.
As for Talbert, Benesh said his versatility has made him a threat to opposing teams.
The Clippers are 3-3 in the Packerland Conference and will return to the court January 5th against Shawano with Southern Door to follow.
