It has been a wild ride for the nine teams in the Packerland Conference this season, and with just over half the season left to go, all postseason seeds are up for grabs. Sturgeon Bay boys basketball coach Jim Benesh said the unpredictability of games in the conference has made for an exciting 2018-2019 season. Numerous upsets and close contests have made the upper half of the conference standings a revolving door, as several teams try to climb above the .500 mark. Benesh said outside of the top two teams, Southern Door and Peshtigo, there is no way of knowing which team in any given contest will come out on top.
In the same vein, Gibraltar boys basketball head coach Justin Burress said he’s been intrigued by some of the results that have come across the score line.
All the teams in the Packerland Conference are slowly easing back into action, with several games already completed since the return from break.
