Gibraltar boys basketball head coach Justin Burress is placing an increased emphasis on closing out contests as the season moves along. In a close conference that has seen many games come down to the wire this season, the Vikings have started focusing on game-closing scenarios in practice, including implementing drills to help further their understanding of what to do in a tight spot. Burress said the drills have given his players much more confidence moving forward.
The Vikings currently sit in a tie for third-place with Kewaunee at 3-2 in the Packerland Conference. Gibraltar will stay at home for a meeting with Sevastopol on Friday before traveling to Southern Door to face the conference-unbeaten Eagles.
