Algoma hiring new soccer coaches

The Algoma School District is in need of all new soccer coaches. Algoma High School varsity and junior varsity, as well as the Algoma Middle School all had their coaches step down after last season. The Algoma soccer program has only been around since 2009. Brian Dawson was the previous varsity head coach and he helped start Algoma soccer from scratch and has been the varsity head coach every year. Algoma Athletic Director David Robertson says he would like to hire coaches who want to keep the kind of culture that Dawson had in his program.

All three head coaching positions will be paid positions and Algoma will be looking for volunteer assistant coaches. Algoma soccer only has a boys soccer team but girls are allowed to play on the team as well. Applications will be accepted until January 25th.
